Multiple Frontends

Daijishō is a retro launcher that let you manage your retro games libraries and it's the default frontend chosen by EmuDeck but alongside Daijishō our installer will let you install other Frontends like Dig, Pegasus, Arc or Reset Collection

Troubleshot your problems

  • Q: Is EmuDeck safe to install?
  • A: Yes! EmuDeck doesn't actually install on your system, but rather it downloads and installs emulators using the same sources you would use if installing them manually: the Google Play Store. Emulators not hosted in the Discover app will be downloaded through their official GitHub source so you'll need to allow installing apps from Unknown sources.
  • Q: Do I need sudo / root access?
  • A: No. We could make EmuDeck for Android as good as EmuDeck for Steam OS but we choose not to use sudo on Android.
  • Q: What are the differences between EmuDeck for Android and for SteamOS?
  • A: EmuDeck for Android is a more limited version since Android has a lot of restrains. In Android we can only help you download your emulators, create folder for your roms and configure RetroArch systems with Bezels al shaders, all other platforms require manual configuration.
  • Q: How can I get notified of new updates?
  • A: You can join our Discord, and we will notify you there when a new update is live. To update EmuDeck, simply launch the app from your desktop and the app will update itself upon launch. You can also follow us on Twitter or join our Discord.
  • Q: What emulators does EmuDeck install?
  • A: Depends of the power of your device but RetroArch for most 2D systems, RedDream, Dolphin MMJR, DuckStation, PPSSPP, Citra, AetherSX2, Skyline.
  • Q: I'm having issues running some games. What can I do?
  • A: Join our Discord or take a look at our Wiki.
